Mountain bluebirds, with the to a greater extent than or less attractive songbirds inwards North America, breed throughout the Intermountain West, from Northern Canada to Northern Arizona as well as New Mexico.  During those warmer months, they favor opened upward areas with scattered trees as well as may go observed on meadows of the foothills as well as mountains, inwards pinyon-juniper woodlands or on the alpine tundra close timberline.

Come fall, they descend to lower elevations, heading for the Desert Southwest or the Southern High Plains.  On their journey, they ofttimes locomote inwards large flocks, adding coloring to the drying autumn landscape of the Colorado Piedmont as well as the volcanic terrain to our south.

Following the commencement major snowstorm of the season, flocks of mount bluebirds convey been spotted all across Metro Denver as well as I was fortunate to discovery 10 of those beautiful migrants at South Platte Park.  By March, when snowstorms all the same lash the Front Range, they volition return, fueling what petty jump fever may arise during that fickle flavour hither inwards Colorado.
