One of the many landscape features that I observed during our flying from Seattle to Denver concluding calendar week was the delta of the Nisqually River, at the southernmost cease of Puget Sound. This relatively untouched ecosystem of freshwater wetlands in addition to tidal marshes is protected inside the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge.
